Boccia is a very popular World Games sport regardless of athlete size and mobility range.


Singles competitions have five age divisions: Futures (6 & under), Junior A (7-11), Junior B (12-15), Open (any age), and Masters (35 and older), with males and females competing in the same events.


Team competition (three players, mixed gender) is available in the Open and Masters divisions.


Ramp competition for wheelchair/scooter users will be introduced at the 2013 Games. Both singles and pairs ramp competition will be offered.


Boccia International Federation (BIFED) rules have been adapted for IDAF competition.
